Changes coming to Randolph Circulator!

April 20, 2026

Changes are coming to the Randolph Circulator and Extension portions of the 89’er South Commuter route, effective Monday, May 4, 2026, in order to provide more flexible service that will better serve the evolving needs of riders in our community. These changes will allow for more reliable demand-response Dial-A-Ride service across the Orange and Northern Windsor county region as well as more flexible ride options for Randolph Circulator riders.

“Tri-Valley Transit is committed to meeting the transportation needs in our community the best we can,” said Mike Reiderer, TVT Regional Director for Orange and Northern Windsor counties. “We’ve taken a close look at our services in Randolph to figure out how we could make better use of limited resources to meet these needs and we’re excited to put these changes into action.”

Key service updates include:

  • More streamlined and flexible service for the Randolph Circulator route to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Increased driver availability to meet growing demands for Dial-A-Ride services
  • Rochester, Chelsea, and Strafford Extension routes will run on the academic calendar to better serve both the general public and students
  • Suspending the 89’er Mid-Day route to offer more tailored Dial-A-Ride trips for qualifying riders

These changes reflect TVT’s ongoing commitment to adapt responsibly in the face of operational challenges, while prioritizing rider access and mobility.

“We’re particularly excited about the changes to the Randolph Circulator,” noted Erica Robinson, new TVT Community Relations Manager for Orange and Northern Windsor counties. “The Southbound half of each loop, from Randolph Center to Downtown and beyond, will feature primarily scheduled stops, and the Northbound half will focus on flexible stops by rider request, dropping off or picking up riders wherever they need, within ¾ mile of the bus route. Riders simply need to tell their driver where they want to go or call our dispatch office to request a pick-up.”

“TVT is here to help,” Robinson added. “Not only do the fixed-route changes provide more flexibility and efficiency, they also allow us to increase the reliability and capacity of our Dial-A-Ride service. Our goal is to preserve service, provide more rides, and continue supporting the communities who rely on us every day. These changes do exactly that.”

Riders are encouraged to review updated schedules, explore new service options, and provide feedback. Updated schedule signs will be posted at all established TVT Circulator stops.
