MyRide by TVT

MyRide by TVT takes you where you need to go when you need to get there. Booking rides with the app is a breeze. And you can follow your van’s trip to you on your phone.

Book rides an hour in advance or up to 21 days if you are planning ahead. MyRide by TVT is wheelchair accessible and can accommodate service animals.

Up to seven friends or family members can ride in the van to your destination. MyRide operates weekdays: 7am-6pm.

How to Ride

One-time Registration

Register through one of the above ways. You can indicate ADA mobility needs in the app. Call the office if you have additional concerns such as hearing/vision.

Reserve Rides

Trip requests must be made at least one hour before trip time and up to 21 days in advance.
When booking choose: Arrive By or Depart By

Arrive By = be ready to go up to 30 minutes before your requested time (example: to get to work)

Depart By = be ready to go up to 30 minutes after your requested time (example: to leave work)


Ride

You will get an alert on your phone when your ride is on the way, and you can track real time trip status
through the app. MyRide can accommodate wheelchairs and walkers.

Hours of service: Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Special note about services in Montpelier:
For safety reasons, TVT has set up a walk-only area around State Street and Main Street. If your trip starts or ends in this zone, you may need to walk to or from a nearby pick up spot to meet you ride. Riders who cannot walk to the nearest pickup spot can tell staff when booking by phone. App users can add a note for the driver.

FAQ

How many passengers will I share a vehicle with?

The number of passengers you will share a vehicle with varies based on the vehicle’s capacity and your destination. MyRide vehicles accommodate up to 8 passengers. With advance notice, additional capacity may be arranged.

What if I need to travel outside the MyRide zone?

TVT’s shuttle bus system includes many more options.

How do I schedule a ride with a Customer Service Representative?

To schedule a Middlebury MyRide with a customer service representative call 802-388-2287 or visit the Community Transportation Center on Creek Road.

To schedule a Montpelier MyRide with a customer service representative call 802-223-7287 or visit the Montpelier Transit Center.

Let the representative know where you want to be picked up and dropped off, and when you would like to depart your location or arrive at your destination. Algorithms within the booking portal will provide you with journey times comparable to a taxi and much cheaper. Your ride, your way!

How do I know when my vehicle has arrived?

On the day of your ride, you will receive an automated call or text message that your vehicle is a certain number of minutes away. You will receive another call or text message when the vehicle arrives at your pick-up location. If you are using the MyRide app you can track your vehicle’s location in real time.

Please note: You have two minutes to board the vehicle once it arrives.

How far in advance can I schedule a ride?

Middlebury MyRides can be scheduled anywhere from 1 hour to 21 days in advance.

Montpelier MyRides can be scheduled anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 days in advance.

When booking a day or more in advance, you will be given a 15 to 30-minute pick-up window for your trip that may be adjusted slightly to accommodate other rides. Be on the lookout for an automated call or text message with your ride information sometime after 5 PM the day before your scheduled ride.

How can I make sure I reach my destination at a certain time?

When booking for a specific arrival time, choose the “arrive by” option when booking in the MyRide app, online booking portal, or tell the customer service rep of your arrival needs when booking over the phone or in person.

Your trip will be scheduled to arrive at your destination anywhere between 59 minutes before your requested time and 1 minute after.

Do MyRide vehicles accommodate wheelchairs and mobility devices?

Yes, all MyRide vehicles are fully accessible.

I keep receiving a message that “no vehicle is available at this time”

You will receive this error message in the MyRide app and on the online booking portal if you try to schedule a ride that does not fit within the ride plan. If you have some travel flexibility, you can go back into the trip plan and adjust the time.

Are service animals permitted on MyRide vehicles?

Yes, service animals are welcome on MyRide vehicles. Other pets are also welcome aboard if they are in an approved carrier per our Code of Conduct.
