Community Relations Manager

For 50 years, we’ve been the heartbeat of transportation in our community, connecting people to where they need to go. And now, we’re looking for a dynamic, creative, and driven person to join our Community Relations team at our Randolph office!
$2,500 SIGN-ON BONUS: Start strong with an extra $2,500 in your first year.
What You’ll Do:
- Be the Voice of the Community: You’ll manage everything from marketing and fundraising to community outreach and special projects.
- Plan, Coordinate, Repeat: Organize and oversee marketing campaigns, fundraising events, and public relations efforts that help our mission grow.
- Develop Services that Matter: Help shape and build services that directly impact our neighbors and community members.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Communication Pro: You’ve got solid writing and speaking skills – no problem getting your message across!
- Tech-Savvy: You’re proficient in Microsoft Office, InDesign, Canva, and other tools that keep things running smoothly.
- Multi-Tasker Extraordinaire: You’re able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment without breaking a sweat.
- A Problem Solver with a Positive Vibe: Challenges are opportunities for you to shine and you’ve got the attitude to match!
The major responsibilities of the Community Relations Manager are:
- Program Development: Collaborate with partners to address transportation needs, use Adobe InDesign to update bus schedules, integrate service updates, and lead pilot program implementation.
- Marketing: Oversee promotional publications, manage website content, handle media inquiries, develop social media strategies, and utilize alternate marketing concepts.
- Fundraising: Solicit town funding, advertising revenue, and donations; maintain donor relationships; pursue grants and other funding opportunities.
- Community/Public Relations: Represent TVT at events, build relationships with businesses and town representatives, increase community awareness, and manage rider alerts.
- Agency Management: Respond to customer feedback, participate in strategic planning, improve operational efficiency, attend staff meetings, and act as a backup for the Director of Development and Community Relations when needed.

Volunteer Opportunity – COMMUNITY DRIVERS
Do you have a little spare time and a safe vehicle? You can improve the life of a homebound senior, disabled adult or other vulnerable neighbor by driving them to access medical appointments, food and other basic necessities. You tell us how much or little time you are able to devote and we’ll handle all the logistics.
Community Driver Benefits
As a Community Driver for TVT you give your time but receive many benefits in return:
- Reimbursement at the federal mileage rate for all miles driven, including to and from your home (does not affect social security or disability income)
- Additional liability insurance coverage over and above your vehicle insurance
- Medical insurance coverage if you are accidentally injured outside of your vehicle
- Access to free driver training courses and potential vehicle insurance discounts
