AIRPORTS

Burlington International Airport

M-F Option one:
Board TVT’s 116 Commuter at 6:10am on Academy Street in Middlebury.
Get off at the “Opposite Timber Lane” stop in South Burlington at 7:20am.
Use the crosswalk to access the bus shelter on the opposite side of Kennedy Drive.
Board GMT local bus #11 at 8:00am for an 8:06am arrival at BTV.

M-F Option two:
Board TVT’s 116 Commuter at 6:10am on Academy Street in Middlebury.
Get off at GMT’s Downtown Transportation Center in Burlington
Board GMT local #11 at 8:15am for 8:51am arrival at BTV.

M-F Option three:

Get off at GMT’s Downtown Transportation Center in Burlington

Saturday options are all on the LINK and depart Middlebury at 9:45am, 12:13pm and 4:45pm. The corresponding departures from DTC on GMT’s bus #11 are at 11:15am, 1:30pm and 6:00pm.

Southern Vermont Regional Airport – From Middlebury, you can take the Rutland Connector and connect with MVRTD Bellows Falls Commuter route to the Rutland Airport.  Go to thebus.com for information.

AMTRAK

Ethan Allen Express to NYC departs every morning from Vergennes and Middlebury.   The following TVT routes offer direct service to the depots: Tri-Town Vergennes, Middlebury Shuttle Bus Marble Works and Saturday LINK to Burlington.

Vermonter departs daily from Randolph and White River Junction to reach destinations to the south.  The following TVT routes offer direct service to the stations: Randolph Circulator, 89’er South, and River Route.

MVRTD (The Bus) – Serving Rutland County and Manchester (Bennington County); Marble Valley Regional Transit District.  TVT and MVRTD collaborate to provide the Rutland Connector Route Monday through Saturday.  To contact MVRTD go to  thebus.com or call 802-773-3244.

BUSES – INTERCITY

Dartmouth Coach stops multiple times daily at the Hopkins Center in Hanover, NH with trips to and from Boston and NYC.  Visit  dartmouthcoach.com or call 800-637-0123 for schedules and more information.  Passengers in Orange & Northern Windsor Counties can access the stop via River Route and 89’er South routes.

Greyhound offers daily inter-state bus service from White River Junction and Burlington. For more information go to greyhound.com. The 89er and River Route Commuters are able to stop, by request, at the Greyhound station in White River Junction.  The Burlington LINK connects with GMT local routes that connect to Greyhound stops at the Burlington International Airport.

The Megabus stop which connects Burlington to Boston is located at GMT’s Downtown Transit Center.  Passengers from Addison County can access the stop via 116 Commuter or Burlington LINK bus. us.megabus.com

Vermont Translines intercity buses from Burlington to Albany, NY; and Rutland to White River Jct/West Lebanon, NH.  Visit vttranslines.com or call 844-VTTRANS (888-7267 for fares and schedules.  The Middlebury stop is located on Storrs Avenue about 100 feet away from TVT’s Academy Street Transfer Hub.

PARK & RIDES

The following Park & Ride facilities are served by TVT Addison Region and can also be used for ridesharing:
  • Ferrisburgh: (Vergennes border): Jct of Rte 22A and Rte 7
  • Hinesburg: Behind Town Hall, Rte 116
  • Leicester: Next to town office on Leicester-Whiting Rd
  • New Haven: Behind Town Hall,  North St
  • Salisbury: Jct of Maple St and W Salisbury Rd, just off Rte 7
  • Starksboro: Behind Town Hall, Rte 116
  • Bridport (rideshare only): Across street from Town Office
  • Cornwall (rideshare only): Town Office parking lot, Rte 30
  • Monkton (rideshare only): Monkton Central School

In Middlebury, overnight parking spaces are available behind Ilsley Library on the lower level as well as in the Frog Hollow municipal lot.

The following Park & Ride facilities are served by TVT Orange/N. Windsor Region and can also be used for ridesharing:
  • Bethel / Royalton: Just off I-89 Exit 3 on VT 107
  • Bradford: Just off of I-91 Exit 16 on VT 25
  • Fairlee: At the Old Railroad Station on US Route 5
  • Newbury: 100 Newbury Crossing Road
  • Randolph: Just off of I-89 Exit 4 on Bettis Street
  • Sharon: Just off of I-89 Exit 2 on VT Route 132
  • Thetford: Just off of I-91 Exit 14 on VT 113

TRAIL AROUND MIDDLEBURY (TAM)

TVT has multiple Middlebury Shuttle Bus stops that connect to the Middlebury Area Land Trust’s Trail Around Middlebury (TAM) system.  Pick up a TAM map and look for the TVT logo.  Visit maltvt.org or call 802-388-1007 for more information.

ADDISON COUNTY ADVENTURES

Increasing outdoor engagement and facilitating community connection in Addison County, Vermont.  Visit Ilsley Public Library’s website for a full directory of adventure quests.  These adventures are free to experience and many are accessible by TVT buses.
