Bus Drivers – Middlebury

Full or Part Time positions available in Middlebury

Fleet Maintenance Technician – Middlebury

We’re looking for a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to ensure our vehicles are safe, clean, and running smoothly.

Requirements:

  • Basic Maintenance Technician skills
  • Experience with tires, brakes, exhaust, and preventative maintenance
  • CDL Class C with Passenger Endorsement (onsite training available)
  • Ability to lift 50lbs & push/pull 75lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on TVT vehicles
  • Ensure vehicles are clean and meet safety standards
  • May drive routes when needed
  • Collaborate with team to meet deadlines

Field Operations Supervisor – Middlebury & Randolph Positions

Salary Starting Range: $67,000 – $70,000
Ready to Lead Where It Matters? Tri-Valley Transit is hiring two Field Operations Supervisors to provide strong, visible operational leadership in our:

  • Addison County Region (Middlebury and Champlain Valley)
  • Orange and Northern Windsor Region (Randolph, Bradford and surrounding communities)

What You’ll Do:
This is a hands-on leadership role ensuring safe, reliable, and customer-focused transit operations. You will:

  • Supervise and coach drivers in the field
  • Monitor service delivery and safety compliance
  • Conduct ride-along driver evaluations
  • Assist with scheduling and service coverage
  • Support accident and complaint investigations
  • Review operational communications and performance data
  • Assist with driver training and certifications
  • Serve as backup CDL driver when necessary

What You Bring:

  • Experience in transit, transportation, or fleet operations
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Strong safety and compliance mindset
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Flexibility to meet operational needs

Skills, Experience, and Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in a leadership role required; previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have maintained a valid driver’s license for at least five (5) years.
  • Must have or acquire and maintain CDL Class C with a Passenger Endorsement.
  • Must have or acquire and maintain DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn data and scheduling software.
  • Good written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a team.
  • Must pass all required background checks.
  • Must pass all DOT required drug and alcohol tests, including pre-employment and random tests.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends and on-call duties.

Ride Coordinator / Dispatcher – Randolph

Tri-Valley Transit (TVT), a nonprofit organization, has been providing critical transportation needs for community members for 50 years. Our dispatchers play a vital role in connecting clients with our services and are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.

The essential function of the position is to communicate our services and schedule rides for our community members in a friendly and compassionate manner.

Position Requires:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Positive attitude, high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to learn new software and work simultaneously with numerous computer programs and screens
  • Ability to handle many calls at a time and to focus in an often-noisy environment

Your neighbors need a lift to medical appointments, groceries, and more. Community Drivers make that possible! Learn more below.

Volunteer Community Drivers – All Locations

Do you have a little spare time and a safe vehicle?  You can improve the life of a homebound senior, disabled adult or other vulnerable neighbor by driving them to access medical appointments, food and other basic necessities.  You tell us how much or little time you are able to devote and we’ll handle all the logistics.

As a Community Driver for TVT you give your time but receive many benefits in return:

  • Reimbursement at the federal mileage rate for all miles driven, including to and from your home (does not affect social security or disability income)
  • Additional liability insurance coverage over and above your vehicle insurance
  • Medical insurance coverage if you are accidentally injured outside of your vehicle
  • Access to free driver training courses and potential vehicle insurance discounts

You will meet new people and feel good about making a real difference!  Both our clients and our volunteers report that they highly value the personal interactions they have made through this program.
